Cancellation Terms and Conditions for Riverside Cottage at Helwith Bridge

These Terms and Conditions relate to Direct Bookings made exclusively via our website. Bookings made with agencies or portals are bound by their own Terms and Conditions approved by yourself at time of booking.

Please carefully read and understand the following cancellation policy before booking your holiday let. By booking directly with us, you

acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Cancellation Policy Overview
1.1. We understand that circumstances may change, and you may need to cancel your holiday let reservation. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both parties.
1.2. Cancellations must be made in writing via email to our email address, riversidecottagehelwithbridge@gmail.com. The cancellation is effective upon receipt of your written notice.

2. Cancellation Charges
2.1. Depending on the time of your cancellation, the following charges will apply:
• Cancellation made 30 or more days before the check-in date: 50% of the total booking fee will be refunded.
• Cancellation made between 15 and 29 days before the check-in date: 25% of the total booking fee will be refunded.
• Cancellation made within 14 days of the check-in date: No refund will be provided unless an equivalent priced booking is received before the intended arrival date.

3. Change of Booking Dates
3.1. If you wish to change your booking dates, we will make every effort to accommodate your request based on availability. However, any changes are subject to the following conditions:
• Changes made 30 or more days before the check-in date: No additional charge, but any rate difference will apply.
• Changes made within 30 days of the check-in date: Subject to availability and may incur additional charges or administration fees.

4. No-Shows and Early Departures
4.1. If you do not show up for your reservation or choose to depart earlier than originally booked, no refunds will be provided for the unused nights.

5. Travel Insurance
5.1. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself against unexpected circumstances, including trip cancellations.

6. Force Majeure
6.1. In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure events, we reserve the right to cancel your booking. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.

7. Owner's Cancellation
7.1. In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil your booking due to unforeseen circumstances such as property damage or other emergencies, we will make every effort to provide you with alternative accommodation. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.

8. Guest Responsibility
8.1. It is your responsibility to notify us of any cancellation or changes to your booking promptly.

9. Refund Processing
9.1. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice.

10. Acceptance
10.1. By making a reservation with us, you acknowledge and agree to these cancellation terms and conditions.
